Generally speaking, updating or switching operating systems is not recommended for overall system stability. While Optoro does not have a specific policy prohibiting this behavior, some individuals in specific roles may have a unique need to do so.
If you believe that you have a need to update your Operating system with either a minor or a major system update (eg: minor - v10.1 > v10.2 or major - v10 > v11), you may need to work with IT to validate system readiness.
If you are working on a special project or other extended assignment that requires some OS variation on your machine, please submit a ticket and copy your manager when e-mailing it@optoro.com. This will initiate a discussion between IT and your department to determine the best course of action.
